Story

Good Morning!

We alert you this Good Friday of a single mother of two sons, 7 and 2 years old, in need of a hand up. She did not approach the local church and ask for help. A member of a local church partner engaged her in conversation, uncovered this need, and then turned to her local church for support. We love it when Christians seek relationships with others between Sundays and then turn to their local church for help when they need it. This is a perfect scenario!

The member of the our local church partner met this woman in need while shopping at Office Depot. This single mother works there and the two women struck up a conversation. Through this conversation the woman shared that she needed help with her rent.  She went on to explain that she has been dealing with child custody issues in the court system and the costs have been too much for the money she is able to earn at Office Depot. She told the church member that she recently secured a job as a teaching assistant with full benefits and tuition reimbursement. She is really excited.

The issue is that she is currently $790 behind on rent and although she has a real and stable solution going forward, this back rent is just way too much for her to handle. If she is evicted she risks custody of her children.

The woman and her two sons live just blocks from the local church and we would like to help this church make this powerful connection.

How To Help

1.) Take a second and pray for this Need Alert and every Deeder that is receiving it.

2.) CLICK HERE to make donation.

*As always 100% of your donation is tax deductable and 100% of your money, less the PayPal fees, will be applied to this specific need. You should also know that the relief will be delivered by the local church partner, not One Need.

All Need Alerts are prayed over and fully reviewed before you receive them. When you see a Need Alert from One Need we want you to have confidence that we are providing relief to a person with a real need. Furthermore, you should know that every need originates with a local church partner. Less than 5% of the Needs we work with become Need Alerts. You can feel confident that when you receive a Need Alert, like this one, that we have dug in and worked with the local church partner and the person in need. We know these people, their backgrounds, and have others that confirm these needs.
