We are working today to help a 30-year-old, recently divorced, single mother who works in construction as a Project Manager. In April, she was laid off from her job and received $300 per week in unemployment benefits. Of course, the benefits were not enough to fully maintain herself financially, but she made it work and paid the rent for June by selling household items. She started a new job on June 1st and needs a few smaller, individual bills totaling $600 this month to bridge the gap until her first paycheck. We want to help her with these bills as she returns to work.
