Story
We alert you today of a grandmother that has been trying to help her granddaughter for many years. However, the now 28-year-old granddaughter has made it clear that she is in need of rehabilitation and development, not relief. She has proven that she is incapable of making the right choices that will lead her to become an independent and functioning adult. The grandmother is 70 years old and is a very active in one of our local church partners. She has served the community for many years, and even the founded a fully functioning 501(c)(3) food pantry where she, and other volunteers, feed hundreds of people in need every month. She has a huge heart for others and is now the last person in the family to conclude that helping her granddaughter is hurting her granddaughter. In her attempt to help, she signed for a car for the granddaughter several years ago. The granddaughter has stopped paying the payments for the past three months, and we have been working with he grandmother to avoid a repossession on her credit. What started as a $1,300 problem has now been reduced to $370. The finance company is working with her to get the car current so that she can avoid repossession. Once we accomplish this, we can move on to a more permanent solution.
