Need 23.67 – 57 Year Old Man Recovering From Open Heart Surgery

We alert you today to a 57-year-old husband and father recovering from open heart surgery. On July 20th, he was rushed to the hospital, fearing he was suffering from heat stroke after being in the sun all day. Doctors discovered he had a torn valve in his heart. The following Friday, he underwent open heart surgery to repair the valve and was released from the hospital on August 2nd. He now has a 12-week recovery process before he can be cleared to return to work.

He is employed as a machinist in a naval shipyard. His co-workers are donating paid time off and vacation days to ensure that he will make it through the next three months. His wife also missed work to be with him through the surgery. She is not being paid for her time off. As a result of all their missed work, they are short by $1,300 on their rent this month. We want to help them cover this income gap. Also, please take a moment in your day to pray for his healing from surgery.
