We alert you today to a grandmother who will now be raising her three grandchildren (10, 6, 3) after their mother’s unexpected death. The grandmother was the first to discover her daughter had passed away from a seizure in her home. As you can imagine, the sadness is overwhelming and the transition will be difficult. The grandmother is in need of financial support to obtain guardianship of the children. She needs to register the kids with the court at a cost of $700 before enrolling them in school. She also needs bedding and other supplies to make her home comfortable for the grandchildren. We want to give her $700 for those items. Finally, we would like to provide 20 counseling sessions ($1,500) for the grandmother and the children to share.
