Need 23.66 – Mother and Children Abandoned By Husband/Father
We alert you today to a mother and three children (24, 23, 17) that have recently been abandoned by their husband/father. The 17-year-old daughter was born with a cleft palate and a genetic disorder called Stickler Syndrome, making her bones more easily prone to being sprained or fractured and requiring multiple rounds of physical therapy every year. In addition, she has gone through more than 40 surgeries over many years to repair her cleft palate. Her next jaw surgery in November will be #45.
The husband left the family on the pretense that he had a job opportunity in another state across the country. The plan was for him to get established in a job with someone he knew from the past. He was going to send back money to keep things afloat at home while the youngest daughter had her major jaw surgery and finished out her last year of high school.
It was not long after he left that all communication with the father stopped. The mother and the older two children have employment, but they were unable to afford the rent on their home without the father’s support. After several months of trying to make ends meet, they were evicted and moved into a motel. They are all broken, devastated, and terrified about the future.
They have qualified for a new place to live that is within their budget. However, the high hotel rates and upfront costs for the new apartment have proven to be insurmountable. The total amount needed to secure the new lease is $5,390. They have been able to save $2,990 but need help with the remaining balance. We would like to help them stabilize their housing situation by providing the remaining $2,400.

Heavenly Father,
I pray for this family – I pray that you would heal their 17-year old. I pray that you would unite this family. I pray that this money would provide a home and shelter. But Father, I pray they would seek an ultimate home in you. I pray their hope would be in you and your work on the cross. I pray that if their father is still alive, you would convict his heart to seek the welfare of his family and live out the life to which you’ve called him. Amen!
