We alert you today to a 53-year-old single woman severely injured in a car accident. On August 26th, she was involved in a hit-and-run. She suffered six fractured ribs, a fractured sternum, a torn bicep, and four pulmonary emboli in her left lung. She was discharged last week after spending three and a half weeks in the hospital and will recover at home. She has worked for twenty-one years as a paralegal and does have a short-term disability policy. However, she will not begin receiving benefits for another three weeks. She needs help with her October rent payment of $1,800. We want to cover her rent for one month while she continues an extended recovery.
