We are working today to help a 33-year-old single mother of two children, ages 17 and 7. She has worked as a Caregiver Med Tech in memory care for 9 years, including 5 years at the same facility. Around the first of March, she had surgery on her back to repair it so she could continue lifting patients. She was out of work for 4 to 6 weeks and received short-term disability, which was not enough to fully take care of her expenses. She was able to pay March rent, but is short for April. She needs $900 of her $1300 total rent to prevent eviction. She returned to work approximately ten days ago with normal hours and will be on track going forward.
