Need 26.27 – Wife/Mother’s Disability Forces Family To Move

We are working today to help a 40-plus-year-old disabled wife and mother of a 16-year-old special needs son. She was diagnosed five years ago with MOGAD, a rare neuroimmune condition that caused her to leave her full-time employment. Since January, there has been a rapid decline in her position, where she is not able to walk or, at times, control her body. She needs a power wheelchair, but for insurance to approve it, she and her family must move into accessible housing, which they have secured. They have a move-in date of May 16th. Due to having two disabled people in the home, they will need someone to come in to pack, move, unpack, and organize the new home. Additionally, they are looking to furnish their son’s first private bedroom, which he is very excited about! They need $3,600 for the movers and simple bedroom furnishings.
