We close the week out working to help a mother whose 24-year-old daughter was suddenly stricken with blindness and hallucinations due to a brain tumor. Her condition required emergency brain surgery, and the mother dropped everything to care for her daughter 24/7 after the surgery, causing them to get behind on their rent. Realizing this was unsustainable, she asked her son (20) to quit his job and care for his sister so she could return to her job, which covers their monthly bills. The temporary absence from work has left her unable to pay the $1,700 rent. We want to help her with $1,700.00 in rent support as she continues to navigate this trying time.
