Today, we are working to support a single mother who works full-time during the week and part-time on the weekend, all while caring for her sick son.

Her son is autistic, has had multiple surgeries, and was most recently diagnosed with a sleep disorder, idiopathic hypersomnia. Doctors have discovered he has a pineal cyst, and they are in the process of determining whether or not he will have to have brain surgery to remove the cyst. He has been in and out of the hospital and at specialist visits. He also has to take medication to function daily.

She is spending extra money monthly on medications, plus copays for exams and testing covered under insurance, as well as other related expenses not covered by insurance. She has maneuvered her budget and juggled monthly bills as much as she can to make things work over the past year. It has all proven to be too much for her to handle, and she needs our support. She is now behind on several bills and at risk of losing their only transportation to repossession. This would be devastating to her and her son. We want ot help her get caught up on $1,600 of her late bills as she continues to navigate this tough situation.
