Diapers, Formula, Car Repairs all building up on a young single mother: Need 15.41 = Met

STATUS = 24 Deeders responded and met this need entirely within 2 hours of the alert. We are transferring funds to local church for them to apply relief.

Happy Friday!

I hope each of you are gearing up for a fun time with family and friends this holiday weekend. We are asking that you take some time to consider this young mother in need before you head into the weekend.

Let me just start by saying that all of the needs that we work with are important and personal to me, but this one for some reason has completely broken my heart. This single mother is supporting two boys that are 3 years old and 6 months old and a little girl that is 2 years old. The father has completely abandoned them all. She has begged him to engage in the children’s lives, but he has refused. Furthermore, he has stopped paying child support and is creating incredible hardship for this single mother and her children. She is not receiving any government help at the moment, including child support enforcement.

She is really working hard to provide for herself and her children. She begins each day at 4:30am to get the kids to daycare and her to work on time by 6:30am. She works until she picks the children up at 6:30pm. She does all of this and still can’t make ends meet. She is down to her last $10 and has two diapers left for the weekend. She is incredibly stressed and exhausted. To complicate things even further, her mother is very ill and she spends any free time she has caring for her mother.

She drives by our local church partner’s building everyday on her way to work. She is not sure why, but she pulled in to ask for help. .

We would like to help this young woman in her time of need by helping this local church partner create a connection with her. This is important in order to provide her with a loving community.
