Story
Good afternoon!
We alert you today of a father that was beaten and robbed of his entire paycheck on Friday evening.
He is an electrician and working a job in a town away from home. The company mails checks to the job site so that the men to do not have to return to the home office to get them at the end of the week. This young man was staying in the job site town on Friday night in order to work overtime on Saturday morning. His Credit Union does not have a branch in the town he is working in so he cashed his entire check.
Later that evening he was getting into his truck and was robbed. Three men attacked him, beat him severely, and robbed him of his entire paycheck. He suffered a broken jaw and a depressed skull fracture. He wants to return to work, but the company will not allow him to do so until he goes for his follow up doctor’s visiting on Thursday.
To further complicate matters, he does not have any health insurance. He is eligable to get insurance after he has been on the job 1 year. He has been there 10 months. Although this is going to be an issue, it is not urgent.
So we have a hard working father that is injured and without his last paycheck or the ability to work this week.
We would like to help our local church partner provide relief to this man. |
