Need 26.58 – Hard-Working Single Mother Needs Help Improving Work Commute

We are working today to help a hardworking single mother of a 10-year-old boy make her commute more manageable so she can better care for her son. In early 2025, she unexpectedly lost her job. She then spent the next 15 months working multiple part-time jobs and moved out of her apartment to share a place with a relative to lower costs. She has been able to make ends meet and thankfully secured a new full-time position that started on June 15th. The challenge is that her morning commute is 2+ hours and her evening commute is also 2+ hours. As you can imagine, this is making it very difficult to care for her young son. She has identified and qualified for a new apartment that fits her budget, and if she can make the move, it will eliminate her long commute, allowing her more time to care for her son. Because she is just getting back on her feet, she does not have the needed savings for the move-in costs. She needs $2,100 to move in, and we are confident she will be self-sufficient in the future. We want to help her secure the new apartment.
