Need 26.70 – Attacked Grandmother Undergoes Brain Surgery

We are working today to help a 52-year-old grandmother who was attacked by her daughter in May, causing her to undergo brain surgery this past August. She took in her daughter and 5-year-old grandson to help them, as the mother couldn’t provide for herself and her son. The daughter brutally beat her in an altercation and was arrested and is incarcerated. The grandmother took custody of her grandson, initially thinking she was okay, and returned to work. As weeks passed, she began having dizzy spells that advanced to equilibrium problems and speech impairment. Doctors discovered a significant brain injury and performed surgery. She has recovered and returned to work but has fallen behind on her rent and now faces eviction. She needs $2,600 to catch up on her rent. We want to help her catch up on her rent and avoid homelessness for her and her grandson.
