Need Status Update: Need Alert 14.10 = Met!

We just finished up meeting this need.  This seemed to be a BIG one.  God used the Deeders to meet this one in a BIG way!  Below is a copy of the Need Alert 14.10 that went out to the Deeders and the result….

Employment Need for Woman left by her husband (Canton, GA) – Need 14.10

We hope you are well.  We are alerting you this morning of a woman in need that you have helped in the past.  If you will remember, a few months ago we alerted a need for a mother that needed assistance with the cremation of her son.  Her son had committed suicide the week before and she was unable to pay for final expenses.  By the work of God, through the Deeders at One Need, the need was met.

Fast forward a few weeks.  Her husband told her he had to leave town a few weeks ago to a “family funeral”.  When he did not return she searched for him.  He contacted her and told her that he has forwarded his mail and he would not be coming home. This leaves her no way to pay for the rent or utilities on their apartment.  On top of all of this her K-Mart store that she works at is closing April 17th.  Leaving her unemployed.

Her total bills for this month are $1,006.  She has no idea what she is going to do.  She has sent us her resume and budget and we are woking to help her.

So here is the need and how you can help:

1.) Pray for her.
2.) Let her know of any employment opportunities.  We can also provide you her resume.
3.) Help her with her expenses just this month.  This will not be recurring.

Result: She secured a part-time position with Publix to supplement her income and give her extra hours while she still has a job with K-Mart.  She was able to work 60 hours this week!!  She also has interviewed with 4 companies offering positions that are office related and not retail.  We are confident she will secure one of those positions.  The Deeders were also able to pay her expenses for the month. This bought her 30 more days and relieved a great deal of stress.
